Stress is a factor when it comes to any kind of physical issue, including being overweight. Many people who are overweight respond to stress by overeating. There are many ways to reduce stress, but first you have to be aware of it.
Your diet itself can make you stressful, if you consume foods or substances that cause your moods to swing, like alcohol, sugar and caffeine. Similarly, if you are on a weight loss diet and try to eat too little, you may swing back and forth with your weight. This will cause stress. It’s better to eat a moderate and healthy diet, while maintaining regular exercise. Exercise not only burns calories, it reduces stress.
Another way to deal with stress is with some kind of meditation. You can meditate in any number of ways. One method is to use a tape or video with biurnal beats, like the one I posted below. You don’t need this to meditate, but it can help. You can also meditate on your own, with eyes open or closed, focusing on your breathing.
